Chapter 3: Installing Optional Hardware Features
Connecting a 5953 DynaKey without Touch Screen
To connect to a Class 2xxx or Class 3xxx 7452 Workstation:
1.
Plug the LCD Cable into the 5953 DynaKey and into the PCI LCD
Board.
2.
Plug the DynaKey Adapter Cable into the PCI LCD Board and into
the keyboard connector on the 7452 Workstation.
Connecting a 5953 DynaKey with Touch Screen
To connect to a Class 2xxx or Class 3xxx 7452 Workstation:
1.
Plug the LCD Cable into the 5953 DynaKey and into the PCI LCD
Board.
2.
Plug the Y-Cable’s PCI LCD connector into the PCI LCD Board.
3.
Plug the Y-Cable’s 9-Pin D-Shell connector into an RS-232 port on
the 7452 Workstation.
4.
Plug the Y-Cable’s Keyboard Connector into the keyboard
connector on the 7452 Workstation.
Note:
When you boot the workstation, if you get the message
"Warning: IRQ not configured- PCI display controller at slot 01…,"
press F1 to continue past the error message and the display will come
up normally and work normally.
