Repair Procedures
6
Connect the thermal probe cable connector (wires 27, 29, and 30) to J3 on the
control panel PCB.
7
Secure the probe cable to the two cable tie mounts with cable ties.
8
Insert the side access panel, then secure the tray brackets and trays with the
saved hardware.
9
Replace the filter on the plenum, connect the thermal cut-out wires, then
connect the plenum hold-down springs.
10
Insert the front cover.
11
Tighten the screws just inside the Drier door.
12
Plug in the power cord, then press the power switch to the
ON
(|) position.
13
Test the device for proper operation (see page 2-4).
Replacing the Heater Control Relay K2
If the heat is off or very low, the heater control relay may need to be replaced.
Required Items:
Heater control relay (part no. 200041)
Screwdriver
Thermal compound (part no. 900006)
To remove the heater control relay:
1
Press the power switch to the
OFF
(O) position, then unplug the power cord.
2
Remove the upper white door seal and loosen—but do not remove—screws just
inside the Drier door (behind the door stop) (see Figure 4.2 on page 4-3).
3
Pull out and remove the front cover (see Figure 4.3 on page 4-3).
4
Locate the heater control relay K2 in the upper portion of the drying cabinet (for
Model 43, see drawing 700199; for Model 44, see drawing 700203), then
disconnect the wires from the heater control relay (see Figure 6.3).
NOTE
#
Remove slack from the thermal probe cable by gently pulling the excess cable into the
upper cabinet. Ensure that the cable is not dangling behind the tube holder.
CAUTION
ESD-sensitive equipment. Use appropriate precautions to prevent ESD.
WARNING
Electrical shock hazard when the front panel is removed.
NOTE
#
To avoid reconnecting the heater control relay incorrectly, clearly mark the wires before
disconnecting (see Figure 6.3).
