120V~ configurations. For other power configurations, see the current ratings in
Section 8.

Block the airflow from the blower into the plenum by placing the metal plate
between the blower and the plenum gasket (see Figure 6.8).

After five minutes, the amperage reading should drop approximately 7A (for
120V~ configurations), indicating that power to the heaters has been
interrupted.

Remove the metal plate.

Press reset on the thermal cut-out. The amperage reading should return to the
value in step 6).

If the thermal cut-out doesn’t function as described above, replace it.

For Model 44 Driers, repeat the above steps for the second thermal cut-out.

After verifying the correct function of the thermal cut-out(s), reassemble
the Drier.
Replacing the Thermal Cut-out
If the thermal cut-out does not function properly (see above), replace it.
Required Items:
Thermal cut-out (part no. 200051)
Screwdriver
To replace the thermal cut-out:

Press the power switch to the
OFF
(O) position, then unplug the power cord.

Remove the upper white door seal and loosen—but don’t remove—the screws
just inside the Drier door, behind the door stop (see Figure 4.2 on page 4-3).
