Model 43/44 Instruction Manual

Repair Procedures

Pull out and remove the front cover (see Figure 4.3 on page 4-3).

Unhook, remove, and set aside the plenum hold-down springs, then disconnect

the thermal cut-out wires (see Figure 6.4 on page 6-12). Next, separate the

plenum from the filter.

Locate and remove the screws and kep nuts that secure the failed thermal

cut-out to the plenum assembly. Save the screws and kep nuts.

Place and secure the new thermal cut-out using the screws and kep nuts saved in

the previous step.

Fully seat the plenum and filter. Install the plenum hold-down springs, then

reconnect the thermal cut-out wires.

WARNING

Electrical shock hazard when the front panel is removed.

NOTE

In Model 44, the left and right plenum assemblies are mirror images of one another. For
example, the thermal cut-out on the right plenum assembly is located on the back, while
that on the left is visible from the front.

CAUTION

Avoid damaging the HEPA filter. Holes, tears, and rips adversely affect filter function.
