Install the new blower assembly or old blower assembly with new motor
installed onto the blower filter plate with the mounting hardware. Connect the
wires (see the appropriate wiring diagram in Appendix A).

Press the red button on the thermal cut-out to reset if tripped (see Figure 6.7).

Position and secure the front cover, tightening the screws just inside the Drier
door. Push the white door seal into place.

Plug in the power cord, then press the power switch to the
ON
(|) position.

Test the device for proper operation (see page 2-4).
Testing the Thermal Cut-Out Function
To verify that the function of the thermal cut-out(s) does not degrade over time, test
the thermal cut-out function annually.
Required Items:
Amp probe
6-in. x 6-in. (15-cm x 15-cm) metal plate
To test the thermal cut-out function:

Press the power switch to the
OFF
(O) position, then unplug the power cord.

Remove the upper white door seal and loosen—but do not remove—the screws
just inside the Drier door, behind the door stop (see Figure 4.2 on page 4-3).

Pull out and remove the front cover (see Figure 4.3 on page 4-3).

Plug in the power cord, then press the power switch to the
ON
(|) position.

Next, set the heat control to
HIGH
and set the timer to
ON
. Allow the Drier to
heat for 20 minutes.

Connect the amp probe to the #1 (hot) wire near the fuseholder. The amperage
reading should be approximately 8A (Model 43) or 16A (Model 44) for the
