The preferences are separated in to four sections. General, HotShot SC specific, 
HotShot E64 Specific, and Debugging options.

Auto Connect on Startup 

 
If this is selected then when the software starts it will immediately connect to any 
available cameras

Include Cameras in Bulk Conversion. 

 
If this is selected then when a batch conversion to image files is conducted both 
RAW HSF files AND cameras with recordings already made will be converted.

Frame Annotation 

 
Specifies how image “meta data” is displayed in the image.
