Knee Block Installation & Depth Adjustment:
IMPORTANT!
The adjustment images below are provide for illustration purposes only. BEFORE installing
and adjusting the knee block assembly, the client should be already seated in the chair (with their
hips/upper torso seated as far back as possible in the seat), and the knee-to-heel length properly adjusted.
1. (With the client seated in the seating system) Pull out the plunger lock on the Knee Block Assembly, then
align and slide the mounting bracket of the Knee Block assembly onto the mounting bar on the CM Legrest (

);
Slide the knee block along the mounting bar until the plunger pin locks into place.
WARNING! Risk of serious injury or loss of positioning/stability
• If wheelchair accessories intended for support (including the knee blocks) are not adjusted properly,
injuries could occur during the transition from a seated to a standing position; be certain to read and
follow the instructions provided
• The knee block assembly must ALWAYS be installed on the legrest (mounting bar) before transitioning
into the standing position.
• The
Safety Pin
must ALWAYS be locked into place when the knee block is installed on the CM Legrest
• To ensure the MPS system is properly adjusted, practice the Standing function with your Therapist and/or
Service Provider present; Make certain you feel comfortable and stable in the full Standing position.

Mounting Bar Set-Up:
The knee block assembly is installed onto the retractable mounting bar on the CM Legrest. When not in use,
the mounting bar is stowed behind the shroud on the CM Legrest). To remove the mounting bar (for Knee Block
installation), lift/raise the mounting bar straight upward (

), then rotate it forward so it sits perpendicular to the
legrest (

).
5.9.1 KNEE BLOCK INSTALLATION & DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
WARNING! Risk of injury
• Operating/extending the power CM Legrest with the knee block in place may cause increased pressure/
force on the users legs if not adjusted correctly; When operating the CM Legrest (in the lowered seat (non-
standing) position), it is recommended that the knee block assembly be placed in the stored position.
