11 INSTRUCTIONS AND FUNCTIONS
• The following procedure shows how to perform Kanji code conversion.
1) Open the communication port to be used and perform settings.
(ZOPEN and ZCNTL instructions)
2) Perform Kanji shift-in/shift-out code settings.
(ZCNTL instruction process code 100 )
4) Specify Kanji code conversion enabled with the KMODE instruction.
3) Specify the Kanji code conversion of the ZCNTL instruction.
(ZCNTL instruction process code 96 )
Perform the above operation on all communication ports where Kanji code
conversions are to be performed.
• Kanji code conversion of communication ports are performed only on communication ports
that have code conversion enabled using the ZCNTL instruction (set using process code 96).
Always set the ZCNTL instruction before executing the KMODE instruction.
The following communication ports can be used.
CH1 (RS-232C)
CH2 (RS-232C)
CH3 (RS-422)
CH4 (PARALLEL)
(However, these do not have any meaning for ports that are specified by the console
using DIP SW in the communication main unit.)
