To turn off the device lock:
1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, select Settings Security .
2.
Select Disable phone lock .
3. Enter the password.
4.
Press the Done soft key. The time and password you have set will be cleared.
Locking the SIM Card
Locking the SIM card prevents you and others from using the Smartphone that contains the
SIM card until the correct password is entered. To turn on the phone, you have to enter the
PIN.
To lock the SIM card and set the PIN:
1.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, select Settings Security .
2.
Select Enable SIM Lock .
3.
Enter the password (SIM card’s PIN1), and press Done soft key.
Once the PIN is enabled, your Smartphone will ask you to enter the PIN whenever you turn it
on.
To unlock the SIM card:
1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, select Settings Security .
2.
Select Disable SIM Lock .
3.
Enter the password (SIM card’s PIN1), and press the Done soft key.
To change the PIN:
1.
On the Home screen, press the Start soft key, select Settings Security .
2. Select Change SIM Lock .
3.
Enter the original PIN1 code. Scroll to the next field by pushing the Navigation stick
down and enter a new password. Then, push the Navigation stick down and enter the new
password again.
4.
Press the Done soft key.

You can still receive calls and make emergency calls when the SIM card is locked.
