Load the media face
down, short edge toward
the printer.
Often, an arrow on the
paper package label
indicates the face-up
(printing) side of the
paper.
A fill limit mark is provided on the inside of the
media guides on the multipurpose tray. The
multipurpose tray holds 150 sheets of
20 lb bond (75 g/m²) paper.

Adjust the media guides to
fit the size media you’re
loading.
Attention
Always adjust the media guides after inserting the media. A guide that is not
properly adjusted can cause poor print quality, media jams, or printer damage.

Specify the media size in the multipurpose tray by using the printer driver.
