When cleaning of the cap rubber is
complete, close the front cover and press
the
key.
• Wipe off the ink sticking to the cap rubber with a
clean stick dipped in maintenance washing liquid
for maintenance.
• Wipe off so that maintenance washing liquid for
maintenance will not remain.
• At this time, the discharge passage is cleaned
automatically.

Fill up the cap with cleaning solution for
maintenance
.
• If the cleaning solution cartridge is usable,
maintenance solution is automatically filled.
• When the cap is filled with cleaning solution, the
display will prompt you to check the cleaning
solution.

If a message is displayed, open the front
cover and check the amount of cleaning
solution in the cap.

Close the front cover, and press the
key.

Press
to set the time for the
maintenance washing liquid to be left as it
is, and press the
key.
•
Set value
: 1 to 99 minutes (Unit: minute)
• The maintenance washing liquid filled in the cap is
absorbed.
• “Please Wait” will be displayed in the display until
the time you set has elapsed.
• After cleaning the wiper, check to make sure the
cap slider is not tilted.
If it is tilted, move the slider block left and right to
fix its tilt.
• If the front cover is not closed, the cleaning
solution will not be automatically filled. If the front
cover is open, be sure to close it.
• If the cleaning cartridge is not valid, the cleaning
solution will not be automatically filled to the cap.
Open the front cover and use a dropper to fill the
maintenance cleaning solution in the cap to just
before it overflows.
Once the cleaning solution is full, begin from Step
9.

• If the solution does not fill up the cap, use a
dropper to fill the maintenance cleaning solution in
the cap to just before it overflows.
• When nozzle missing is not cleared even after
nozzle recovery (
P.4-15) or this washing is
carried out several times, contact the distributor in
your region or our service office.
