Use feeding tension bar and folding bar to
pass the media so that appropriate tension is
applied to the media.

Insert the media between the platen and the
pinch roller.
• Feed the media forward to such an extent
that you can catch hold of the media from the
front of the machine.

Lower the clamp lever from the back of the
machine.
• The media will be held.

Open the front cover and pull out the roll
media out.

Open the front cover.
(2)
Raise the clamp lever from the front of this
machine.
• To raise the clamp lever, we recommend
holding the media to prevent it from falling on
the feeding side.

Pull out the roll media gently.
• Pull out the media diagonally upwards. If you
pull out the media horizontally, the media
may contact the grid rollers and get
scratched.
• Pull out the media to such an extent that the
media covers tension roller.

Remove creases from the media and lower
clamp lever.
• Lightly pull a few areas of the media to remove
creases, confirm that each edge of the media
(front and back) is linear, and then lower the
clamp lever.

Close the front cover.

Set an empty core of the roll media on the
take-up device, and take-up legsfix take-up
legs on the floor.
• After setting the empty core, fix take-up legs on
the floor.

Check that the media is set on the feeding
side, and press the
key.
• Feeding tension bar starts operating, and detects
and adjusts the media on the feeding side.
• If the machine cannot detect the media, raise the
clamp lever and carry out the operations from
step 9 again.

Secure the media on the take-up device.

media contacts the floor.
