Ink Error
Ink error is displayed also in the local guidance. (

Cause
Solution
The IC chip of the ink pack cannot be
read normally.
• Remove the ink IC chip generating the warn-
ing once and install it again.
• If the same warning message still appears,
contact your local distributor to call for ser-
vice.
The ink of the ink pack is different in type
from the ink currently supplied.
• Check the ink type of the cartridge generat-
ing the warning.
The ink of the ink pack is different in
color from the ink currently supplied.
• Check the ink color of the cartridge generat-
ing the warning.
An error occurred in the IC chip informa-
tion of the ink pack.
• Check the cartridge generating the warning.
• Make sure there is no nozzle clogging
(Especially, white ink).
An IC chip has not been installed in the
slot.
• Install an appropriate ink IC chip in the slot
generating the warning.
The ink of the ink pack has been com-
pletely used up.
• Replace the ink pack generating the warning
with a new one.
There is only a little bit of ink left in the
ink pack.
• The ink will soon be used up.
Be careful.
The ink of the ink pack has been nearly
used up.
• Replace the cartridge generating the warn-
ing with a new one.
However, it can be used until the month after
next.
The specified expiration date of an ink
pack has passed.
• The expiration date has passed.
However, you can use it until the end of the
following month.
The expiration date of an ink pack has
passed (one month has passed after the
specified expiration date).
• One month has passed after the expiration
date.
The expiration date of an ink pack has
passed (two months have passed after
the specified expiration date).
• Replace the ink pack with a new one.
