Note for using post cure unit
If you cannot keep the head gap properly/evenly
When you use the thick media etc., you cannot keep the head gap properly/evenly in some cases.
In such a case, perform the following procedures:
(1) By using the media for discard etc., bridge the gap as
much as possible.
(2) Set the periodical wiping. (Chapter 4 “Cleaning nozzle
face automatically” of the JFX operation manual.
• To remove ink that became thick due to mist adhesion/exposure,
set the periodical wiping.
• Set the periodical wiping to perform it every 3100mm length
printing.
• Even if you perform the periodical wiping, ink is not used.
• In addition, perform cleaning or replacement of the wiper period-
ically.
(3) Raise the refresh level during drawing. (Chapter 3
“Other useful settings” of the JFX operation manual.
• You can discharge ink that became thick due to exposure.
When performing long hours of continuous printing
(1) Use the machine by setting the head gap value to the lowest one as much as possible in
the proper range.
(2) After printing is completed, perform head cleaning (Chapter 2 of the JFX operation
manual) and cleaning of the carriage bottom surface (Chapter 4 “Cleaning of the head
guard plate” of the JFX operation manual).
• After printing is completed, ink that became thick may adhere to the carriage bottom surface in some cases.
• When you use JFX-1631/1615, the Post Cure Unit is an option.
