Danger of burning.
Grill with the oven door closed. If
you grill with the door open, hot air
will escape from the oven instead of
being cooled by the cooling fan.
The controls will get hot.
Oven functions
Full grill
Y
For grilling thin cuts (e.g. steaks) in
large quantities and for browning large
baked dishes
The whole of the top heating / grill
element is switched on and glows red
in order to create the heat required.
Economy grill
Z
For grilling thin cuts (e.g. steaks) in
small quantities and for browning small
baked dishes
Only the inner part of the top heating /
grill element is switched on in order to
create the heat required.
Fan grill
\
For grilling larger items, e.g. rolled
meat, poultry.
The top heating / grill element and the
fan switch on and off alternately.
Trays and racks
Use the universal tray with the rack or
anti-splash insert (if available) on top.
The juices from the food being cooked
collect under the insert. This prevents
them from spitting and making the oven
dirty. The juices can then be used for
making gravy and sauces.
Do not use the baking tray.
Your oven is also supplied with a
rotisserie which can be used to cook
thicker items such as stuffed meat or
poultry (see "Grilling with the
rotisserie").
