1.4 Voltage
regulation
Voltage regulation of the generator is a fixed feature of the design. The voltage will vary within the tolerance range by means of dif-
fering rotational speed of the motor. The motor is fitted with an automatic arrangement whereby the rotation of the motor is kept con-
stant within limits of ± 5% up to the maximum permitted loading.
1.5 Standard equipment
The generator units are fitted with recoil starter mechanism, safety sockets and engine hours meter as standard equipment. Motor
and generator are bolted fast to one another, the rotor connected to the motor spindle by way of a conical connection. The motor-
generator unit suspension in its frame is by means of low-vibration rubber bearings. All units have switch boxes fitted which contain
the electrical components, sockets etc.
2. Technical
data
Technical data - motor:
Motor type 4-stroke, single cylinder overhead valves
Cooling system: cooling fan
Ignition system: transistorised magneto ignition
The no-load voltage of the generator is max. 250 V. The voltage at nominal load must not fall below 207V.
WARNING:
Equipment sensitive to overvoltage or undervoltage currents may be damaged if operated from an electricity generator!
3. Electrical
equipment
WARNING: Only authorised specialist personnel may undertake work on the electrical equipment. Interference in the switch box is
strictly forbidden to all unauthorised persons. After every repair to or service of the device, a safety check in accordance with VDE
0701 must be undertaken. In particular, the equipotential bonding resistance of < 0.3
Ω
and the insulation resistance (> 2 M
Ω
), as
well as the proper functioning of the safety devices provided must be checked.
4.
Electrical connections and safety measures.
4.1 Electrical
connection
Factory settings on the electricity generator are for supply of individual pieces of equipment (operation in the IT network). The neu-
tral lead is connected neither with the casing nor with the earth lead. Connection of the individual piece of equipment is to be exclu-
sively made at the socket provided on the generator. Where it is necessary to use extension leads, the total impedance of the lead
(total resistance) may not exceed 1.5
Ω
. Thus the maximum permitted lead lengths are as follows: 1.5 mm
2
- max. 60 m /2.5 mm
2
-
max. 100 m / 4.0 mm
2
- max. 165 m.
