Removing the wheels
Removing a wheel from the trailing
axle

Drive the outside wheel of the driven
axle onto ramp (1).
Note:
If the ground is very slippery and hard,
the ramp may slide out from under the
wheel when the bus is driven onto it. Ob-
serve the information and instructions on
the ramp instruction plate.

Loosen the wheel nuts with the
wheel nut wrench from the vehicle
tool kit through no more than half a
turn.
Note:
Roller bar (3), on top of which the spare
wheel is pulled out from the spare wheel
cover, is suitable as an extension. It can
be pulled out of the retaining bracket
after the spring pin has been removed.
Danger.
If support stands are not available, the
spare wheel or the defective wheel must
be placed under the body at a suitable
position for the duration of the tyre
change to provide protection in case the
jack should fail.
Raise the bodywork using the rais-
ing/lowering system.

Danger.
It is essential that the battery isolating
switch 01S01 be switched to OFF after-
wards.
