If you combine various cargo tie-down points
to secure a load, always take the maximum
loading capacity of the weakest cargo tie-
down point into account.
During maximum full-stop braking, forces may

mum roof load being exceeded
When you place a load on the roof as well as
all outer and inner attachments, the vehicle's
center of gravity will rise and the familiar driv‐
ing characteristics as well as the steering and
braking characteristics will change. When
driving around bends, the vehicle will tilt
more heavily and may react more sluggishly
to steering movements.
If you exceed the maximum roof load, the
driving characteristics, as well as the steering
and braking, will be greatly impaired.
