Remove valve

with magnetic lifter

116 589 06 63 00.

Take out valve springs and valve spring

retainers.

Installation note

Install valve springs with the color marking

downwards.

7 Check valve springs (05260).

Replace valve stem seals (05270).

Installation takes place in the reverse

sequence.

Cylinder head installed

Removal and installation

Remove valve tappets with magnetic lifter

102 589 03 40 00.

Installation note

valve tappets, note sequence.

Place piston of the cylinder concerned on

TDC.

Use retaining gear 603 589 01 40 00 instead of

camshaft timing gear or camshaft in order to turn

the engine.
