Removal

Remove cylinder head cover.

With

suspension:

Remove pressure

pump drive

(05437).

Align timing chain and camshaft

gear.

Remove hexagon bolt or

head

bolt on camshaft timing gear,

holding

camshaft

a mandrel.

Remove camshaft

gear and allow

chain to sag.

Caution!

Note different bolt and washer (05220).

Drive out both bearing bolts

the Impact

puller 116 589 20 33 00, and

116 589 01

34 00

and remove guide

Check

and

replace if necessary.

Caution!

bearing bolts can also be pulled out

puller

20 33 00

and stud

115 589 01 34 00.
