m ately 40 km /h/25 m ph can be
m a in ta in e d w ith th e c ru ise c o n tro l
by o p e ra tin g th e sw itch .

c e le ra to r. Speed is set by b rie fly
p u sh ing th e sw itch to p o s itio n 1
o r 2. The a c c e le ra to r can th e n be
released.
The speed can be in creased (e.g.
fo r passing) by u sin g th e a cce
le ra to r. As soon as th e a c c e le ra to r
is released, th e p re v io u s ly set speed
w ill be resum ed a u to m a tic a lly .
If a set speed is to be in creased or
decreased s lig h tly , e.g. to a d a p t to
th e tra ffic flo w , h o ld s w itc h in
p o s itio n 1 o r 2 u n til th e desired
speed is reached. W hen th e sw itch
is released, th e new ly set speed re
m ains.

To cancel th e c ru is e c o n tro l,
b rie fly push lever to p o s itio n 3.

c lu tc h pedal o r th e v e h ic le
speed fa lls b e lo w a p p ro x.

40 km /h/25 m ph, th e ve h ic le re
sum es th e speed w h ic h was set
p rio r to th e c a n c e lla tio n o f th e
c ru is e c o n tro l. The last m em
o rize d speed is c a n c e lle d w hen
th e key in th e s te e rin g lo c k is
tu rn e d to p o s itio n 1 o r 0.
Note:
If th e e n g in e does n o t brake the
ve h ic le s u ffic ie n tly w h ile d riv in g on
a d o w n g ra d e , th e speed you set on
th e c ru is e c o n tro l may be exceeded
and you may have to step on the
bra ke pedal to slo w d o w n . As soon
as th e g rade eases, th e cru ise c o n
tro lle d speed w ill again be m a in
ta in e d as lo n g as th e brakes w ere
n o t p re v io u s ly ap p lie d .
Im p o rta n t:
O nly use th e c ru is e c o n tro l if the
tra ffic c o n d itio n s m ake it advisable
to tra ve l at a steady speed.
P o s itio n “ R e su m e ” s h o u ld be en
gaged o n ly if th e d riv e r is fu lly
aw are o f th e p re v io u s ly set speed
and w ish e s to resum e th is p a rtic u la r
p re se t speed.
In th e case o f m anual transm issions,
th e ve h ic le m a xim u m speed in the
in d iv id u a l gears s h o u ld n o t be e x
ceeded. See lin e m a rk in g s on the
s p e e d o m e te r. In th e case of a u to
m a tic tra n s m is s io n s , th e tra n s m is
sion s e le c to r lever m u st n o t be
s h ifte d to p o s itio n "N ” w hen d riv in g
w ith th e c ru is e c o n tro l engaged as
o th e rw is e th e e n g in e w ill overrev.
