Central Locking System
The e n tire v e h ic le may be lo cke d o r
u n lo c k e d w ith th e ce n tra l lo c k in g
system :
• U sing th e m aster key,
su p p le m e n ta ry key, o r by p u sh
ing do w n o r p u llin g up th e in
te rio r d o o r lo c k b u tto n s at the
fro n t doors.
• From th e tru n k using the m aster
key only.
The ce n tra l lo c k in g system a llo w s
you to lo c k o r u n lo c k all doors,
tru n k lid and fuel fille r fla p s im u l
taneously.
D oors
W hen you lo c k th e car, all d o o r lo ck
b u tto n s s h o u ld m ove d o w n . If any
one stays up, th e respective d o o r
w as n o t p ro p e rly closed. You
s h o u ld th e n u n lo c k th e car, open
and re-close th is d o o r, and lo c k the
ca r again.
N ote:
T he ce n tra l lo c k in g system can be
enga g e d fro m th e d riv e r-s id e d o o r
lo c k b u tto n , p ro vid e d th e d o o r is
c o m p le te ly closed. It can also be
engaged fro m th e passenger-side if
th e key is rem oved, o r engaged
in th e s te e rin g lo c k w ith o u t being
tu rn e d (key in p o s itio n 0).
T ru n k
To u n lo c k th e tru n k w ith th e central
lo c k in g system , tu rn th e m aster key
in th e tru n k lo c k c o m p le te ly to the
le ft and let it re tu rn to the norm al
p o s itio n . Push in tru n k lo c k b u tto n
and open th e tru n k . To lo c k the
tru n k , tu rn th e m aster key c o m
p le te ly to th e rig h t and let it re tu rn
to th e n o rm a l p o s itio n .
The tru n k can rem ain lo cke d w h ile
th e ce n tra l lo c k in g system is un
lo cke d (e. g. w h ile d riv in g o r w hen
leaving th e c a r in a s itu a tio n w here
it m u st be d rive n using th e s u p
ple m e n ta ry key b u t you w ish the
tru n k to rem ain lo cke d at p a rkin g
lots, w o rk s h o p s , etc.). T u rn the
m aster key c o m p le te ly to th e rig h t
and p u ll it o u t in th a t p o s itio n . Now
th e tru n k can o n ly be u n lo c k e d w ith
th e m aster key by tu rn in q it back to
th e left.

C o n tra ry to p rio r m odel year v e h i
cles, if th e tru n k is u n lo c k e d w ith
th e ce n tra l lo c k in g system engaged,
th e d o o rs and fu e l fille r fla p w ill
also be u n lo c k e d . A fte r c lo s in g the
tru n k , th e ce n tra l lo c k in g system
m ust again be engaged using the
key!
