Coolant T em p eratu re Gauge

- 3 0 ° C / - 2 2 ° F th e b o ilin g p o in t of
th e c o o la n t in th e pressurized c o o l­
ing system o f y o u r ve h ic le is ap ­
p ro x. 125° C /257° F (see also
“ Fuels, C o o la n ts, L u b ric a n ts , e tc .” ).

The te m p e ra tu re se n so r is attached
to th e fro n t b u m p e r b e h in d th e
lice n se p late base plate. Due to its
lo c a tio n , th e s e n so r can be affected
by road o r e n g in e heat d u rin g id lin g
o r s lo w d riv in g . T h is means th a t the
a c c u ra c y o f th e disp la ye d te m p e ra ­
tu re can o n ly be ve rifie d by c o m ­
p a riso n to a th e rm o m e te r located
next to th e sensor, n o t by c o m p a ri­
son to e xte rn a l d isplays (i.e., bank
signs, etc.).
Engine Oil Consumption
E n g in e oil c o n s u m p tio n can o n ly be
d e te rm in e d a fte r a c e rta in m ileage
has been covered. D u rin g the
b re a k-in p e rio d , h ig h e r oil c o n ­
s u m p tio n may be n o tic e d and is
norm al.
