O peration

O nce th e   alarm   system   has  been 
arm ed,  th e  v e h ic le   lam ps w ill  flash 

and  th e   h o rn   w ill  so u n d   in te rm it­
te n tly  w hen  an  u n a u th o riz e d   person 
trie s  to:

•   open  a  d o o r
•   open  th e   tru n k
•   rem ove  th e   radio

•   sw itch   on  o r  b rid g e  th e  s te e rin g  

lo ck

•   step  on  th e   brake  pedal
•   raise th e  vehicle,  i.e.  to w in g  

away.

The  ala rm   w ill  last  a p p ro x im a te ly  

150  se co n d s  in  th e   fo rm   o f  b lin k in g  

e x te rio r  lam ps.  A t th e   sam e  tim e  an 
a d d itio n a l  h o rn   w ill  so u n d   in te rm it­
te n tly  fo r 60 se conds,  and  repeat fo r 
a n o th e r 60 se co n d s  a fte r a 30 sec­

on d   pause.

The  alarm   w ill  stay on  even  if the 
a rm in g   e le m e n t  (a  d o o r,  fo r e xa m ­

ple)  is  im m e d ia te ly   closed.

To  avoid  s e ttin g   o ff th e   alarm   u n in ­
te n tio n a lly ,  do  n o t arm   th e   alarm  
system   in  th e  fo llo w in g   s itu a tio n s ; 
e.g.:  A u to   fe rry,  a u to   tra in ,  w hen 
h itc h in g /u n h itc h in g   a tra ile r,  or 

heavy  lo a d in g /u n lo a d in g .  For th is  

p u rp o se   use  th e   s u p p le m e n ta ry   key 
and  n o t  th e   m aster  key fo r  lo c k in g  

th e   vehicle.

th e  tru n k ,  tu rn   th e   m aster  key  in  the 
tru n k   lo c k   c o m p le te ly  to   th e   rig h t 

and  p u ll  it  o u t  in  th is   p o sitio n .

If you  w a n t th e   alarm   system   to   be 

arm ed  at th e   tru n k   only,  tu rn   the 

m aster  key  in  th e  tru n k   lo c k   c o m ­
p le te ly  to   th e   rig h t  and  p u ll  it  o u t  in 

th a t  p o s itio n .  Then  d isa rm   th e   rest 
o f th e   v e h ic le   by  u n lo c k in g   e ith e r 
fr o n t d o o r w ith   th e   m aster  key.  You 

can  n o w   lo c k   o r  u n lo c k  th e   d oors 

and  fille r  fla p ,  as w e ll  as s ta rt the 
e n g ine ,  in  th e   usual  m a n n e r  using 
th e   s u p p le m e n ta ry   key.

Do  n o t give th e   m aster  key to   an 
u n a u th o riz e d   p erson.  We  re co m ­
m end  th a t you  ca rry th e  fla t  key 
safely w ith   you  (e.g.  in  y o u r w a lle t) 

so  th a t  it  is  alw ays  handy,  if  needed. 
T h is  key  has th e   same fu n c tio n   as 
th e   m aster  key.
