th e key in s te e rin g lo c k p o s itio n 1
o r 2.
W a rn in g system :
The in d ic a to r is illu m in a te d fo r 4 - 8
se co n d s a fte r tu rn in g th e ste e rin g
lo c k key to p o s itio n 2. If th e seat
b e lt o f th e d riv e r’s seat is n o t fas­
te n e d a w a rn in g buzzer so unds
sim u lta n e o u s ly .
Faste n in g :
• Pull b e lt w ith la tch pla te (1) over
s h o u ld e r and lap. Do n o t tw is t
th e b e lt d o in g this.
• Push latch p late (1) in to b u c k le
(2) u n til it c licks.
• The b e lt m u st be p u lle d snug
and ch e cke d fo r snugness im ­
m e d ia te ly a fte r e n g a g in g it and
d u rin g d riv in g . If necessary,
tig h te n th e lap p o rtio n to a snug
fit by p u llin g s h o u ld e r p o rtio n
up.
U n fa ste n in g :
• Push in th e red b u tto n (3) in the
b e lt b u ckle .
• T he re tra c to r s h o u ld co m p le te ly
re w in d th e b e lt and latch plate
(1).
O p e ra tio n :
The in e rtia reel s to p s the belt fro m
u n w in d in g d u rin g su dden ve h icle
s to p s o r w h e n q u ic k ly p u llin g on
th e belt.
The lo c k in g fu n c tio n o f th e reel may
be c h e c k e d by q u ic k ly p u llin g o u t
th e belt.
