Connection Diagram
NOTE:
If the SG32-1500M is mounted in a vehicle or trailer, the vehicle or
trailer must be grounded/earthed to the system ground of the switchgear.
The SG32-1500M must be grounded to the same system ground. Do
NOT ground the SG32-1500M to a separate ground rod.
Connection Rules:
1.
Connect Safety Ground/Earthing lead of SG32-1500M to the system ground
of the device to be tested
2.
Connect HV Return / Shield of HV Test Lead to neutral/metallic shield of
cable to be tested
3.
Connect HV Test Lead to Conductor / Core of cable to be tested
4.
NEVER
drive a separate ground / earth rod and bond the safety
Ground/Earthing lead of the SG32-1500M to it,
ALWAYS
use the single
point grounding method (at the system ground of the switchgear) to avoid
the potential danger of step potentials.
