MOTOR CURRENTS
The printer has 3 bipolar stepper motors to drive the paper transport, the paper cutter and the presenter. The motors are
current-controlled and operated in micro-stepping with 8 steps per full step. The motor currents of the printer can be set
to values between 20 and 100% using parameters. They are already set to optimal values at the factory. The motor current
is speed dependent. At low speeds, a higher current combined with a higher torque is possible. At 250 mm/s the torque is
significantly lower due to the back EMF.
Parameter 59,3 insert values for forward operation:
[printer current FF in %, cutter current FF in %, presenter current FF in %]
Parameter 59,5 insert values for backward operation:
[printer current BF in %, cutter current BF in %, presenter current BF in %]
In special cases it can make sense to increase the motor currents for the printer or cutter. Please keep in mind that this also
increases the heating of the motors and can lead to motor overheating. Please ask us.

CONTROLLER GCT-46620 AND GCT-46630
The maximum adjustable current for all motors is 2063 mA peak = 100%
The presenter motor current is fixed to 940 mA = 46% peak and can only be changed by manufacturer.
