1. Drain the fuel tank by running the engine
until the fuel tank is empty. Check that the
filler cap is properly tightened.
2. Place a suitable container under the drain
plug.
3. Remove the drain plug.
4. Tilt the engine to allow the oil to run
out into the container. Used oil must
be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.
5. Replace the drain plug and tighten.
6. Fill up with oil of the recommended grade
to the upper limit mark.
7. Replace the oil filler cap with the dipstick.
IMPORTANT:
• Wash your skin with soap and water
after changing the oil.
• Used oil must be disposed of in
accordance with local regulations.
SPARK PLUG
WARNING!
The muffler gets very hot during use and
remains hot for a long time after the engine
has stopped – risk of burn injuries. For good
engine performance, the spark plug must be
clean and have the right spark gap.
1. Remove the cap from the spark plug and
unscrew the spark plug with a spark plug
spanner.
FIG. 8
2. Check the spark plug. Discard the spark
plug if it is visibly worn or if the insulator
is cracked or broken. Clean the spark plug
with a steel brush if it is to be used again.
3. Measure the spark gap with a feeler
gauge. Adjust, if necessary, by gently
bending the electrode. The electrode gap
should be 0.6–0.8 mm.
FIG. 9
WARNING!
Never attempt to clear the ejector when the
engine is running. Never attempt to clear
the ejector with your hands, use the clearing
tool or a stick. Replace the clearing tool in
the holder and start the engine. Stand in the
driving position behind the handle and engage
the auger for a few seconds to throw out any
residual snow and ice from the ejector chute.
PRACTICAL TIPS
• If possible, aim the ejector in the direction
of the wind.
• Overlap each lap.
• Set the skid shoes 6–7 mm below the
shave plate for normal snow clearing.
If the snow is firmly packed the skid shoes
can be moved up so that the shave plate
comes closer to the ground. When
working on gravel the skid shoes can be
moved down so that the shave plate
comes further away from the ground.
• Always clean the snowblower after use.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Switch off the engine and disengage all the
levers before servicing, repairs, or inspection.
Wait until all moving parts have come to a
complete standstill. Loosen the spark plug
lead and earth it against the engine to prevent
unintentional starting. Always wear safety
glasses when working with or on the machine.
CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL
NOTE:
Always check the oil level before using the
machine, and every five working hours.
