• Do not point the ejector chute at people
or animals, and make sure no one goes in
front of the machine.
• Do not overload the machine by trying to
remove too much snow too quickly.
• Never use the machine in poor visibility or
bad light. Keep a firm footing and good
balance at all times, and keep a firm grip
on the handle. Never run with the
machine.
• Disengage the auger drive during
transport and when the machine is not in
use.
• Never run the machine at a fast pace on
slippery surfaces. Be very careful when
going backwards or pulling the machine
towards you.
• Never put your hands in the ejector or
intake openings. Always use the supplied
clearer tool to clear the ejector. Never
attempt to clear the ejector when the
engine is running. Switch off the engine,
put all the controls in neutral and wait
until all moving parts have completely
stopped before moving away from behind
the handle to clear the ejector.
• Only use the parts and accessories
recommended by the manufacturer.
Contact your dealer if you have any
questions.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Never modify the safety devices in any
way. Regularly check that all safety devices
are in place and are working properly.
• Switch off the engine, put all the controls
in neutral and wait until all moving parts
have completely stopped before doing
repairs, lubricating and/or inspection.
Loosen the spark plug lead and earth it
against the engine to prevent
unintentional starting.
• Check that all screw unions are properly
tightened at regular intervals. Retighten if
necessary. Check the machine for damage
at regular intervals.
• Never store the machine or fuel container
indoors where there are ignition sources
such as a boiler, water heater, tumble
drier and electric motors that could emit
sparks, in order to avoid the risk of the
ignition of fuel vapour.
• Allow the machine to cool for at least 5
minutes before putting it away.
USE
• Keep your hands and feet away from
moving parts – risk of serious personal
injury and/or death.
• Never attempt to bypass or deactivate the
function of the auger lever – risk of
serious personal injury.
• It must be possible to move control levers
in both directions and they must
automatically return to the neutral
position when released.
• Do not use the machine if the ejector
chute is missing or damaged. The safety
devices must be fitted correctly and work
properly.
• Never start the engine indoors or in an
enclosed area. Exhaust fumes from the
engine contain carbon monoxide, an
odourless and highly dangerous gas.
• Never use the machine when you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
• The muffler and engine become hot – risk
of burn injuries. Keep onlookers, especially
children, and pets at a safe distance.
• Be careful when working on or crossing
entrances, roads, etc.
• Pay attention to traffic and hidden
danger.
• Be very careful when changing direction,
and when on slopes.
• Plan the work so that thrown snow does
not hit windows, walls, cars, etc., to avoid
the risk of damage to property and/or
personal injury.
