CAUTION
: The drive belt must be tightly secured. If not suffi-
ciently tightened, the belt could jump from the gear teeth at
high pressures. Equipment failure or malfunction may result.
NOTE
: To adjust drive belt tension, apply tension to the belt by
prying the motor case with a screwdriver, then tighten the
four motor screws. Refer to Figure 16.4.
Follow these guidelines when applying tension to the drive belt:
•
Use a medium blade screwdriver, not longer than 6 inches
(15 cm).
•
After securing the belt, check the injector at the maximum
pressure (1100 psi at 60 ml, 1200 psi at 150 ml or, 1000 psi at
200 ml) to ensure proper operation.
•
If the belt is too tight, decreased motor speed may result.
4. Reassemble the injector head. (See the procedure on Page 16 - 13.)
