This method is similar to the cooling only models whereby the FCU thermostat will determine the
switching ON or OFF of the mini chiller unit. To select either the cooling or heating mode, an
additional external changeover switch is used. This switch may be installed in the room itself for
easy access.
Note: The changeover switch should have 3 steps: one for COOL, one for HEAT and one for
STANDBY. The standby mode will automatically run the water pump when the air temperature
sensor measures < 5°C even though the FCU is OFF.
This method is not preferred due to stopping of the water pump once the room load has been
achieved. A better alternative to this is to use the "L" terminal from the fan coil unit and connect it
to "2" instead.

In this configuration, two auxillary relay contacts are connected to the COOL and HEAT
terminals, depending on the mode selected. Selection is by means of an external switch. The
chiller, and pump, will run when the REMOTE switch is ON.
