6.9 - HOW TO USE THE PTO
ATTENTION :
- Observe all safety instructions on the gear driven by the PTO - Stop the engine and
PTO before connecting the tool to the machine.
- Check that the work area of the tool is clear before starting the PTO.
- Any maintenance shaft PTO must be carried out only with the PTO disengaged, the
engine stopped and the ignition key removed.
Before connecting the equipment to the power take-off of the machine, make sure that the tool is
compatible with the speed of the PTO in use (1000 rpm, front / rear)
- After you have switched off the PTO, the tool continues
to rotate for a bit of time (regardless of the brake). Do not
approach the equipment until it has stopped completely.
- Make sure the PTO shaft length is correct respect to
the tool operated by the PTO.
The shaft of the curvature to operate in full vertically and
horizontally.
IMPORTANT: a shaft too long can cause damage.
- Fit the PTO shaft according to the instructions of the
manufacturer.

When attaching the PTO shaft, make sure that the protection is not dama-

equipment.
- Engage the PTO at a low speed in order to protect the
PTO
- During the winter, make sure that the transmission oil
and hydraulic oil are warm before engaging the PTO.
- Always protect the end of the PTO shaft with the spe-
cial cover (1) when not in use.
