Pre-Start Up
WARNING:
Before performing any of the following inspections, make sure
that the vehicle engine is shut down, the ignition key is
removed, and all personnel in the work area are aware that the
equipment is being inspected and must not be started.
Never check for hydraulic leaks by hand. Hydraulic fluid under
pressure can penetrate skin.
Inspect all hydraulic lines for evidence of leaking, loose fittings, and
frayed or damaged hoses.
Check hydraulic cylinders for broken or loose parts, especially cotter
pins on the hydraulic cylinders.
Check the hydraulic oil level. A sight gauge is located on the side of the
reservoir for this purpose. Add fluid as necessary.
All access doors are secured in place.
Visually inspect for fluid leaks under the vehicle.
Check air filter by using the MDC screens.
Check for faults on screen.
Inspect attachments for damage and proper connection.
