Troubleshooting
The following sections describe problems, with possible solutions, which can occur with your SR1202
SAS Enclosure Platform.
System Faults
Symptom
Cause
Action
1.
The CONTROLLER
FAULT LED will illu-
minate AMBER on
the SR1202 module

Audible Alarm
sound
The ESI processor has
detected an internal
fault on one of the
following modules:

PSU
–
Cooling
–
SR1202 RAID
Controller
Replace faulty module as appropriate:
–
PSU
–
Cooling
–
SR1202 RAID Controller

Power Supply Faults
Symptom
Cause
Action
1.
Ops Panel SYSTEM
FAULT LED AMBER

An AMBER LED on
one or more Power
Supply Modules.
3.
Audible Alarm
sounding.

Any power fault.
2.
A fan failure.
3.
A thermal condi-
tion which could
cause PSU over-
heating.

Fault on one of
the following
modules:

Cooling

Removal of 1
PSU
1.
Check AC power connections to Power Supply
module are live.
2.
Disconnect the Power Supply module from AC
power and remove the module from the system.
Re-install: if problem persists, replace Power
Supply Module.
3.
Reduce the ambient temperature.
4.
Replace faulty module as appropriate:
–
PSU
–
Cooling
–
SR1202 RAID Controller
