Chapter 2, Preparing Your DigiSuite System for Upgrading to DigiSuite LX MAX
Set your display resolution
Before you can install your DigiSuite software, you should configure your
display resolution to
1024×768 pixels
with either
High Color (16 bit)
or
True Color (32 bit)
. You should also set your Display Properties to use
Small Fonts
and one of the Windows Standard schemes. To do this, right-
click your Windows desktop background, then choose
Properties >
Settings
.
Install your third-party software
Make sure you install your third-party applications before attempting to
install your DigiSuite software. This is because DigiUtils Setup must
locate the directory where you’ve installed your program in order to install
the plug-in for it.
You should avoid installing any software on your system’s A/V drives as
this may degrade system performance. If possible, use your A/V drives
exclusively for storing audio and video files.
¯Note
If you later update your version of 3D Studio MAX, you’ll need to
re-install the DigiSuite 3D Studio MAX plug-in. If you update other
software for which you’ve installed a DigiSuite plug-in, you’ll need to re-
install the plug-in only if you place the new version in a different directory.
