SYNC UNIT MC-1-DE are set 9600(baud rate), 8 (data bits), N (Parity-None), 1 (stop bit). It is neces-
sary that user have to select “NONE” option in “Hardware Flow Control” option while doing communi-
cation parameters settings in HyperTerminal. Refer “USER CONFIGURATIONS” section in manual.

After connection is setup successfully, user can see the time frames coming from unit on HyperTer-
minal. By factory set, GPS TIME SYNC UNIT MC-1-DE device is configured to provide NMEA output
at 9600(baud rate), 8 (data bits), N (Parity None), 2 (stop bit) communication settings. NMEA output
will be transmitted at every second with respect to GPS TIME SYNC UNIT MC-1-DE time.
NOTE:
•
The unit will enter the configuration as soon as it will receive CONFIG command followed by an
“Enter”.
•
Once the configuration mode is entered, the unit will stop sending time frames on serial terminal.
•
If user doesn’t enter any command up to 120 seconds, then it will come out of configuration mode
with the message “CONFIGURATION MODE HAS BEEN TIMEOUT” and starts sending time
frame.
•
If user hits “Enter” key of PC keyboard without giving any command, unit will come out of configu-
ration mode and the time frames will start getting transmitted from serial terminal again.

In case of improper entry of command, following message will appear on the screen:
