Setting the Output Power
If you press, say, the yellow channel selector button (6) because you
want to use the M2 channel for monopolar cutting, the currently set out-
put power (100 watts – see screen shot on the left) is immediately high-
lighted by a red frame. This signals that the power value can now be ad-
justed (increased or decreased) by simply turning the rotary switch
clockwise or counterclockwise.
If you confirm the new value by pressing the rotary switch, the red frame
will disappear. However, such confirmation is not really necessary be-
cause the maxium automatically works with the output power currently
selected and indicated in this field (even if the red frame is still dis-
played). This ensures that the output power can be adjusted during HF
activation as well.
Alternatively, you can set/adjust the power of the channel last used (say,
the cutting power of M2) via the MENU button. To do so, press the MENU
button (16), then rotate the rotary switch until you reach the “Power” menu
item. A black frame will now highlight the current power value indicated on
the display. As soon as you press the rotary switch, the black frame will
turn red. You can now adjust the parameter in the same manner as de-
scribed above.
As a third option for selecting a specific channel for which you want to set
the power, you can simply activate the channel with the footswitch or hand
switch assigned to it. Since in practice it is very likely that the user would
like to modify the power setting of the channel last used, the red frame
always appears around the Power field of the currently active channel (or
the channel last used).
