6.4.3 Overwriting
Programs
With the exception of the standard program (as already explained), you can overwrite any program
if you have changed any settings and want to save them permanently (e.g. a different output power
value).
For example, if you have modified an existing program by changing the power, the program name
is immediately displayed with the supplement “(modified)” in the Program line. To confirm and store
the modification (i.e. overwrite the current program), first press the MENU button, then select the
“Programs” menu item. In the following submenu, highlight the “Overwrite program” item and con-
firm by pressing the rotary switch.
The system now prompts you to confirm your selection again, offering you the following options:
“Escape” (cancel) and “Save” (store changes in the non-volatile memory). This query confirmation
is intended to alert you to the fact that the old setting will be lost when you overwrite the program!
To overwrite the current program with new values, select “Save” and confirm by pressing the rotary
switch. At the same time, the hint “(modified)” will disappear.
