HOPPER OPEN.
What To Do:
Close the hopper lid. If the Pellet Boss® display still says

MANUAL MODE—In Case of Thermocouple Damage or Failure
If your Thermocouple stops working, the grill will not function properly
because it will be unable to detect the grill temperature. However, MAK
has built-in a “work around” solution with MANUAL MODE operation. You
may still cook on your grill while using this function until your replacement
Thermocouple arrives.
Settings:
To enable MANUAL MODE, press and hold the STAR button
until the words MANUAL SMOKE appear on the Pellet Boss® display
screen. Press the STAR button again. The word SMOKE will begin
flashing. Use the UP or DOWN button to select from SMOKE (175F),
LOW (225F), MEDIUM (275F), MEDHIGH (350F) or GRILL (450F+).
Press the STAR button again to lock in the cooking temperature you
want. The setting selected will stop flashing and the grill will adjust to and
cook at the selected temperature.
NOTE: Because there is no working Thermocouple, the Pellet Boss®
display screen will not show the grill temperature. To return to
NORMAL MODE, press and hold the STAR button until SETPOINT
SMOKE appears on the display screen.
