To prevent the header from bouncing excessively while in operation with a light float setting, reduce the combine
’
s
ground speed.
•
When cutting above the ground, use the stabilizer wheels in conjunction with the header float to minimize bouncing at
the ends of the header. For instructions, refer to
Adjusting Stabilizer Wheels, page 57
.
NOTE:
If an adequate header float setting cannot be achieved using all of the available adjustments, an optional heavy-duty spring
is available. See your MacDon Dealer or refer to the header parts catalog for ordering information.

Park the combine on a level surface, and lower the
reel fully.
2.
Extend or retract the reel as needed until the indicator
position is between position 5 and 6 on indicator decal (A)
located on the right reel arm.

Raise or lower the header as needed until the cutterbar is
