12.2 INITIAL SET MODE AT POWER ON
The
INITIAL SET MODE
is accessed at power on and
allows you to set seldom-changed settings. In this
way, you can “customize” transceiver operations to
suit your preference and operating style.
Entering INITIAL SET MODE

Key-touch beep
Turns key-touch beep emission ON (Beep level 1 to
3) or OFF. (default: 3)
Time-out timer
To prevent accidental prolonged transmission,
etc., the transceiver has a time-out timer. This
function cuts a transmission OFF after 1–30 min.
of continuous transmission. This timer can be
cancelled.
• tOt.OF: The time-out timer is turned OFF. (default)
• tOt. 1–30: The transmission is cut OFF after the set
period elapses.
NOTE: The pocket beep level (Beep level 1 to 3
or OFF) also changes as this setting.
