5.4 Battery charging
Recommendation:
Charge the BP-3100LI (Li-Ion) by BC-82S for 5
hours. Li-Ion batteries are different from Ni-Cd
batteries in that it is not necessary to completely
charge and discharge them to prolong the
battery life. Therefore, charging the battery
in intervals, and not for extended periods is
recommended.

Charging with the BC-82S
The BC-82S provides rapid charging battery
pack with or without a transceiver attached. The
following is additionally required:
• An optional AC adapter PA-82E (the adapter/
spacer is supplied with BC-82S).
Check orientation
for correct charging.
(Insert together with
the adapter/spacer.)
Turn power OFF.
