1.
Check all CAT 5 cable
connections.

Check computer and RPM IP
Addresses.
3.
Bypass surge protection in
control and at computer if
applicable.

Dead Channel or Loss of Counts
1.
Make sure the preamp is not
dead by checking for the red
Power OK LED.
2.
Check to see if photo-multiplier
tubes are bad.
3.
Check all MTA connections.

High Background
1.
Use a portable radiation meter
and check for material in area
that might cause higher
background readings.
2.
Check if anyone has been
exposed to radiation as part of
a medical procedure (some
people may be “hot” for
weeks).
