Features and Specifications
Main Electronics (inside master detector assembly)
Specifications
Liquid Crystal Display:
4-line by 20-character Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD) for display of detector background, count rate for each channel
(detector), and sigma level above background while sensors are occupied.
Mains Power
: able to operate from 100-240 Vac, 50/60Hz, maximum 250
watts, without a voltage selector switch. The system also has a 12-volt, 12
amp/hr trickle-charged battery backup, providing up to 20 hours of
continued operation in non-alarming condition.
Fuse
: 250 Vac 1-amp main AC fuse AGC-1; 10-amp battery fuse ABC 10.
Detector Cable
: Belden 9768 or equivalent, 12 twisted pair conductors with
individual shields, 22-gauge wires.
Preamp Cables
: Belden 8305 or equivalent, 5 pair, 22-gauge wires.
Output
: RS-232, Ethernet, and dry contacts for radiation alarm and status
conditions.
Remote Cable
: Belden 9946 or equivalent 15 conductors, overall shielded,
22-gauge wires.
Sensitivity
: dependent on number and type of detectors.
Microprocessor Sampling
: The microprocessor uses a sliding-bin method
to scan sample data while the portal is occupied. In this mode, checking is
performed every 100 milliseconds while the portal is occupied.
Enclosure
: The Model 4525 electronics are housed in the master detector’s
weather-tight (NEMA-4 dust-tight and water-tight) enclosure.
