A shortcut is created on the desktop for the Supervisor, Data Viewer, and
IPSetup applications.
Data Location
Data, configuration files, and camera images are stored in
C:\ProgramData\Ludlum Measurements, Inc\Model 4525 Gate Monitor. By
default, Windows does not show hidden files and folders. In order to see the
ProgramData folder the Windows Explorer will need to be changed to show
hidden files and folders.
Sharing the Supervisor Folder
The computers configured as Echo stations must have access to the data
folder on the Supervisor station to view camera images. They can access the
data either through a mapped network drive or a UNC path.
To share the Supervisor folder:
1.
Double Click on ”My Computer.”
2.
Double Click on “Drive C.”
3.
Double Click on “ProgramData”
4.
Double Click on “Ludlum Measurements, Inc.”
5.
Right click on the “Model 4525 Gate Monitor” folder and select
“Sharing and Security...”
6.
Check “Share this folder on the network.”
7.
Make the share name “SupervisorShare.”
Note:
The share name can be any name; it does not have to be what is specified
here.
8.
Check “Allow network users to change my files.”
9.
Click “OK.”
To Map the folder on the other computers (Not necessary if using a
UNC path in the software):
1.
Double Click on “My Computer.”
2.
Double Click on “My Network Places.”
3.
Double Click on “Entire Network.”
4.
Double Click on “Microsoft Windows Network.”
5.
Double-click on “supervisor” or the name of the Supervisor
computer.
6.
Right click on “SupervisorShare” and select “Map Network Drive...”
