Push firmly to fully seat the power supply.

Fully tighten the power supply locking screw.
10 Verify that the power switch on the new power supply is off, and then safely reconnect it
to its power source.
11 After it is properly connected to its power source, turn on the power supply.

Warning:
Before connecting the unit’s ac power supply, verify that the APX 1000 power
supply switch is in the OFF (left) position.
To connect the ac power supply plug one end of the power cord into the socket on the power
supply, and the other end into an approved ac source.
Use solid copper 12 AWG (4.0mm
2
) wire to connect the chassis ground to the facility’s
ground. If the APX 1000 unit is fed from an isolated power supply, you must supply a solid
ground to earth via copper rods. This ground must have a resistance of less than 5 ohms.

Warning:
Models with ac power inputs are intended for use with a three-wire grounding type
plug (a plug that has a grounding pin). This is a safety feature. Equipment grounding is vital to
ensure safe operation. Do not defeat the purpose of the grounding type plug by modifying the
plug or using an adapter.
