Step 3) which allows you to select a newer Windows XP or .NET driver
to install from the outset. If you wish to bypass the F6 instruction in
favor of automatic install, you should then follow the instructions in the
section “Updating the Mylex Controller Driver” on page 3-7 to ensure
you’ll finish with the most current Windows XP or .NET driver.
3. As soon as the screen turns blue, press F6 so that the most current
driver can be installed for the controller.
You will see a screen with two options. Respond to the following
option:
To specify additional SCSI adapters, CD-ROM drives, or special disk
controllers, including those for which you have a device support disk
from a mass storage device manufacturer, press S.
4. Press S to specify an additional device.
5. When prompted for the Manufacturer’s supplied hardware support
disk, insert your Mylex Windows XP or .NET driver diskette into the
floppy disk drive and press <Enter>.
You will see a screen with the following information:
You have chosen to configure a SCSI Adapter for use with Windows XP
or .NET, using a device support disk provided by an adapter
manufacturer.
Select the SCSI Adapter you want from the following list, or press ESC
to return to the previous screen.
6. Use the scroll bar or arrow keys to locate and select one of the
following devices. You can also use the scroll bar or arrow keys to
expand the screen to see other controller names that are not visible in
the space allowed.
