WARNING:  Do not  use  a probe or  wire to clear  the  jets as  this may  enlarge 

or 

the  jet  orifice. 

3 .  

Remove  the screws 

the  float chamber  coven. 

4. 

Remove  the remaining  jets and as  i n  

'2' 

above.  N o t e  that  the pump  jet  i s  

concealed beneath o plug on the outside  of the carburetter,  i n  front  of  the 

identification panels. 

5. 

Clean the  floats,  float  chambers and needle valves  w i t h  petrol,  and blow 

clean with an air line. 

6. 

Check  the  float level  and ensure  floats are free to move.  Replace a l l   jets. 

Using new  gaskets,  replace the 

chamber and  jet covers.  Check 

condition of 

rings on pump  and idler  jet  assemblies,  and replace 

i f  

necessary. 

Zenith Carburetters 

1 

Remove the carburetters  from the engine. 

2. 

Remove and clean the  float chambers,  floats  and needle  valves  with petrol 

and blow clean with an  air line. 

3. 

the needle  valves and floats,  and check  the  float level.  Ensure  the 

floats are  free  to move.  Using a  new 

the float  chambers.

Using new 

replace  the  carburetters on 

engine.

Drain the tank by disconnecting  the  flexible cross  feed pipes  under  the  tonks.
