SERVO UNIT
To Remove
1. Disconrrect the two pipes o f the master cylinder, draining f l u i d into
suitable receptacle. Insert into the pipes to prevent the ingress
foreign matter.
2 . Disconnect the electrical connections to the reservoir cap.
3.
Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the non-return valve on servo unii.
4. From inside the vehicle and beneath the scuttle, remove the split p i n and
clevis the master cylinder the brake pedal.
5.
From the front compartment, remove the four nuts arid washers
securing the servo unit to the body mounted bracket.
6 . Remove the cylinder as an assembly, further dismantling
be carried out on the bench as desired.
1. Assemble the master cylinder t o the servo unit.
Locate the on the body mounted bracket, replace nuts and
and tighten t o the torque specified i n TECHNICAL DATA.
3. Reconnect the master cylinder push-rod to the brake Check that when

retain with split pin.
4. Connect the vacuum pipe to the non-return valve and refit the two hydraulic
f l u i d pipes t o the master cylinder, ensuring correct seating o f the end.

Bleed the complete system.
PEDAL
To Remove
1 . Disconnect the throttle cable and the clevis pins securing brake and
clutch push-rods from inside the vehicle.
2 . Remove the servo unit and the clutch master cylinder.
Remove the steering column as described i n the section
STEERING.
4. Disconnect the electrical connections to the stop switch on the top of
the box.
