Thunderbolt Memory Module
This topic applies only to Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter that supports the TMM. There are the
following two types of TMM:
• ThinkServer RAID 720i Modular Flash
• ThinkServer RAID 720i Modular DRAM Upgrade
The TMM works as the cache memory of the installed Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter.

Removing the TMM
To remove the TMM, do the following:
1. Prepare your server and remove the server cover. See “Preparing your server in advance and removing
2. Remove the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter. See “Removing a PCIe card” on page 58.
3. Press the two release tabs

and lift the TMM straight up and out of the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID
720i PCIe Adapter.

4. If you are instructed to return the old TMM, follow all packaging instructions and use any packaging
materials that are supplied to you for shipping.

To install the TMM, do the following:
